Far away from reality. This is a very biased narrative to distort history. Muslims killed thousands of kashmiri pandits in kashmir and exiled them from kashmir. Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who hails from Srinagar, has given a glimpse of what had happened to his home state and its people during that fateful tragedy and its aftermath, through his upcoming film.

Shikara is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film produced and directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.The film is based on the love story of a Kashmiri Hindu couple at the peak of insurgency in Jammu and Kashmir during the 1990s and the subsequent exodus of Kashmiri Hindus from the Kashmir Valley.

Shikara: The Untold Story of Kashmiri Pandits is in trouble, as a petition has been filed in the Jammu and Kashmir High Court, seeking a stay on the release of the film. Bad direction totally waste of money. It is said the film will not be entirely adapted from the book.

The torment Kashmiri women have been through and the mass killings of Kashmiri pandits hasn't been shown in the film...Completely a misleading film... Shikara is touted as a “story of resilience in the face of insurmountable odds.
